Ask around Wilmington NC and most will say that the Airlie Road area is one of the prettiest areas in North Carolina. Entering Airlie Road from Military Cutoff Road is a driving treat. Some people go out of their way to drive down this road after a busy work day. Beautiful majestic oaks and Magnolia trees line Airlie Road until you round the bend of the Intracoastal waterway. The 1.5 mile Airlie Road was named the 57th Scenic Byway because of its historical features and natural beauty. Airlie Road starts at Military Cutoff Road and runs parallel to the Intracoastal waterway until it ends at Eastwood Road and the Wrightsville Beach Bridge.
Buyers looking for homes in this highly desired area will find it can take them years to find a home here. Very few homes come on the market in this spectacular Airlie Road and Bradley Creek area. This charming one street neighborhood stretches from Airlie Road to Wrightsville Avenue. The Wrightsville Avenue entrance to Airlie Forest has a closed gate and sidewalks that run from Airlie Forest to Wrightsville Beach and all the way to Mayfaire Shopping Center. Living in this area will make it easire for you to leave your car at home and hop on your bike or go for a jog to the beach!
Across the street from the entrance of Airlie Forest on Airlie Road is Airlie Gardens, a beautiful public garden that stretches across 67 acres.
So convenient to everything. Airlie West is located close to Oleander Drive and bordered by Airlie Gardens and the Intracoastal waterway. Many of the Airlie West homes come with their own personal boatslip.
People say Bradley Creek Point is the best neighborhood in Wilmington NC. Beautiful horses outside the entrance are not something you'd expect when only a few minutes from Wrightsville Beach. Bradley Creek Point is one road that loops around and is known as Bradley Creek Point Road. Majestic Oak trees and beautiful mature Magnolia trees are found throughout this area. Some of the homes in Bradley Creek Point back up to Airlie Gardens and delight in finding an abundance of butterflies frequently in their yard thanks to Airlie Forest and their butterfly house. Many homes in Bradley Creek Point are located on the Intracoastal waterway and have their own private boatslip. Of course a beautiful neighborhood like this rarely has homes for sale. When you find a place you like you better buy it quick.
Highly desired because Gray Gables is located so close to the waterfront restaurants and yet just down the road from your own boat slip in a protected no wake zone.
Living in Oak Village makes it easy to walk or bike to the Airlie Road waterfront or better yet, head to the Wrightsville Beach Loop.
Located off Airlie Road and Wrightsville Road is a little road called Allens Road. You'll find One Meeting Place tucked in off of Allens Road. Built in the early Year 2000 these Charleston style homes are full of southern charm. Wrightsville Beach and the Airlie Road waterfront restaurants are just a few minutes away.
